Length: 3 Days (24 Hours) (Classes conducted at the RCTA Main Facility in Meridian, MS will be 2 days if followed by the Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs Course.)

Designed For: This course is designed for patrol officers and investigators who are exposed to motorcycle and street gangs.

Prerequisites: None

Description: This course consists of 2 days of streets gangs and 1 day of motorcycle gangs and their effect on the illegal drug trade. The focus is on the methods employed by street gangs to distribute narcotics. Through an overview of gangs, students will become familiar with this subculture and its relationship to the vast narcotics network as well as methods of gang enforcement. Attendees will learn the methods of illicit drug dispersion and weapon smuggling methods used by street gangs and OMG’s and transnational gangs including, but not limited to Mexican, Central American, Caribbean, and Asian origin.

The street gang’s portion will include, but not limited to, Folk People, Bloods, Crips, Asians, Jamaicans, Hispanic Gangs, and Hate Groups. Officer safety in working around street gangs is stressed.
