Print Course Description

Length: 5 Days (40 Hours)

Designed For: This course is designed for all active sworn and certified state or local law enforcement officers who are currently serving on a tactical team or full time narcotics with duties involving serving drug search warrants.

Prerequisites: None

DescriptionTactical Arrest and Control Procedures (TACP) will compliment any departments existing defensive tactics. The real-world techniques, tactics and procedures are easily digested, easy to teach and employ.  This gives the organizations the ability to customize and evolve their defensive tactics gradually. TACP helps agencies develop realistic, safe, scenarios and drills that allow students to evolve their decision-making process under stress. This course is a realism based, task-specific system designed to bridge the gap between foundation training and the unique needs of the modern day tactical team. This course is designed to teach critical tactics to ensure officer survival and that the lowest level of force option is used. The course covers force continuum, weapon retention and transition and technique linkage.   Reference ATP 3-39.35
